MESSAGE BOARD

DENTAL HEALTH MONTHS FEBRAURY AND MARCH

Our hospital is dedicated to the health and well being of your pet. The prevention and early detection of disease give us the opportunity to significantly improve your pet's quality of life and longevity. This is especially true with periodontal (dental) disease, which is the most commonly found health problem in our pets. In fact, more than 85 % of pets over the age of two years have some form of periodontal disease.
In many instances, the changes associated with dental disease go unnoticed pets may continue to eat and chew normally while coping with an underlying dental problem. Without regular brushing or cleaning, plaque and calculus will accumulate on teeth. This may result in bacteria intermittently showering the bloodstream, which can cause heart and kidney disease. Halitosis (bad breath) usually indicates that a problem exists.

In an effort to promote dental health in our patients, we are offering a reduced fee for routine dental procedures. Preanesthetic testing (blood testing and electrocardiogram) are highly recommended especially when pets are 7 years of age and older.

A fracture tooth can result in pain, abscess and infection.

Scaling and polish can help with Tartar build-up.

Inflammation of the gums is the result of gingivitis.

PLEASE CALL AND BOOK YOUR PET'S DENTAL PROCEDURE TODAY

Please be advised that all pet(s) must be up to date on annual vaccinations. If the pet has not been seen within 2 months a complimentary pre-dental exam can be booked, to determine the proper estimation of cost for the dental procedure.
